Our New 65th and Cottage Grove Project

Community Venture Investment Corporation is stepping up to its biggest challenge yet, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the journey with you. Here’s the scoop: we’ve acquired 95% of the east side of 65th and Cottage Grove, a key business corridor in the historic Woodlawn community. And that’s not all. We’ve also purchased a mini strip mall right next to our corporate office. This includes a public laundromat that’s been out of operation since 2019—but we’re ready to bring it back to life. Get this family, we call the new laundromat, wait for it- “A Clean and Fresh Start” Laundry - boom!
Our goal? To transform this once-blighted area into a thriving, consumer-friendly corridor that seamlessly blends residential and commercial spaces. But this is more than just a facelift—we’re addressing the real needs of current residents and creating pathways for growth and self-sufficiency. This project is our commitment to meeting people where they are and building a brighter future, step by step.
