The NEW Community Venture Investment Corporation’s (CVIC) Website launches today. This is a 30-year dream come true for US.

Founded in 2002, CVIC began as a General Contractor who built a company from the purchases; rehabs and sales of real estate in low-to moderate income communities. Since 2007, we have leveraged into the multi-family residential market and now own and manage more than 700 units.

Our journey is “a we and not I” value proposition. First and foremost, it is a wholistic vision that embraces: spiritual, mental, self-care, family, and togetherness - in that order! I had to first learn that myself, so let me stop acting like I knew all of this in the beginning - goofy as hell, right?

Expert my ass… As Kevin Gates, the rap artist says, “we got it from the Mud!”

We also built and branded Streetwise Inc, known to Chicagoans as Streetwise newspaper 1992-2005. This was a period in my life’s intersection of spiritual enrichment, and it has everything to do with this moment. Personally, I am a professional baptism by fire practitioner – it’s an art to realizing something is too hot to handle and dropping it before you get burned, that sounds streetwise right… Bottoms Up! It also makes good business sense.

From a blank slate, we have infused the Chicago market with tens of millions of dollars to support its tax base! That’s the power of building sustainable small businesses. We are growing people and business together.

The CVIC website will help inspiring entrepreneurs (both the not-for and the for-profit industries) specifically in the housing to “market focus” identify a viable consumer market; strengthen assets and appropriately brand their company. Our website will stimulate your entrepreneurial creativity.  Self-care and wealth, superbly anchored in bottoms up real estate investment will deliver you a better Lifestyle @ The Intersection (TM).
